Hi Amnon, Yes, this looks to be a i915 issue. Does it happen if you open the pdf in firefox or chrome? Could do that in the meantime.
The 6.11 HWE kernel is still being prepared by the kernel team, likely a couple weeks away. Theres a build available for super eager people though here: https://launchpad.net/~canonical-kernel- team/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+build/29164338 but its not secureboot signed, or really ready for anything just yet. You could boot Kubuntu 24.10 on a live usb and try open a pdf there, to see if it is fixed.
