I have exactly the same problem after upgrading Ubuntu from 22.04 LTS to 24.04.1 LTS on my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 4th.

No LEDs light up. Furthermore, after sleep mode no resuming is possible. In both cases pressing the reset button in the back of the laptop with a needle or pressing the power button for 10 seconds allow a clean boot afterwards. Verification: This also happens when booting a 24.04 live usb stick, however it works cleanly with a 22.04 live usb stick. I am happy to provide more information if needed.
