I installed the latest upstream kernel ( linux- image-3.14.0-031400-generic_3.14.0-031400.201403310035_amd64.deb ) as suggested in comment #22. Using this kernel the current state is:
- Bluetooth is on - Wireless keyboard is working - Apple Trackpad can not be paired When I try to pair the trackpad via the "Bluetooth New Device Setup" dialog, the trackpad is discovered intermittently when scanning for new devices, i.e. it shows up in the dialog for a couple of seconds (sometime with a name, sometimes without), then it disappears again. When I try to pair the device and manage to set the PIN option to 0000 and continue before the device disappears, I get the message that the pairing failed. When I tried to pair my bluetooth devices (Apple wireless keyboard and trackpad) yesterday I got mixed results. I could pair the keyboard after a couple of tries, but I also got a kernel oops. Not sure if this happened when pairing the keyboard or the trackpad, the bug report with the automatically generated logs can be found here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1300698 After a restart today bluetooth seems to have stopped working completely. The indicator applet is grayed out and I can't connect the paired keyboard. Trying to switch on bluetooth in the indicator applet's menu changes the status slider, but apparently nothing else (keyboard still blinking, probably searching for a connection). When I try to switch on bluetooth in the system settings the status slider there changes to "on" for a moment, then reverts back to "off". Restarting the bluetooth service in /etc/init.d does not help, either. P.f.a. the output in /var/log/syslog from both actions. --- ApportVersion: 2.13.3-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: jerry 2124 F.... pulseaudio CRDA: country EU: (2402 - 2482 @ 40), (N/A, 20) (5170 - 5250 @ 40), (N/A, 20) (5250 - 5330 @ 40), (N/A, 20), DFS (5490 - 5710 @ 40), (N/A, 27), DFS CurrentDesktop: Unity DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-03-31 (2 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Beta amd64 (20140326) MachineType: LENOVO 2344CTO Package: linux (not installed) ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.13.0-20-generic root=UUID=9d3fea9d-fdc7-4669-b9c0-b0b040c541bc ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-20.42-generic 3.13.7 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-3.13.0-20-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-3.13.0-20-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.126 Tags: trusty Uname: Linux 3.13.0-20-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo _MarkForUpload: True dmi.bios.date: 05/25/2012 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: G1ET41WW (1.16 ) dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Available dmi.board.name: 2344CTO dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: Not Available dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: Not Available dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrG1ET41WW(1.16):bd05/25/2012:svnLENOVO:pn2344CTO:pvrThinkPadT430:rvnLENOVO:rn2344CTO:rvrNotAvailable:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNotAvailable: dmi.product.name: 2344CTO dmi.product.version: ThinkPad T430 dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1301211/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
