The same or similar problem is found in Ubuntu 24.04 kernel 6.8.0-41-generic on HP EliteBook 860 G11 with Core Ultra 7 155H.
Flickering is visible on the internal display and the USB-C-connected HP E273p monitor. It looks like small rectangular areas randomly located on the screen, moving around based on opened windows and mouse position. Glitches are not always visible but are often present in some applications, such as Double Commander. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2072973 Title: Primary screen goes crazy since Ubuntu 24.04 update (6.8 fails but 6.5 works) Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hi, I often run into a severe display issue since my update to the latest LTS release. In fact, my primary screen glitches, like it alternates every other frame between a stretched and a still image. Moving my cursor back to it stops the bug. It only happend when focused on one of my 2 secondary screens, particularily when moving the cursor above a dropdown menu in my browser, IDE etc (weird enough!) I've attached a short video to help you comprehend what is happening. The day I thought about booting up using an older kernel (...6.5 I think? I should be using now 6.8 iirc) I did not ran into this issue. ❯ lsb_release -rd No LSB modules are available.
