I did execute and allow in the browser, but this does not seem to have executed correctly, see attached screenshot. Does this has to be executed as root?

The power LED is lit (no stand-by) but screen is blank. No reaction to any key, also cannot open a terminal with Ctrl-Alt-Fx. Only a hard reset is possible. None of these problems occur with Kernel 6.5.0-45. I have previously attempted to use Ubuntu 24.04 LTS but faced exactly the same issues, therefore I re-installed Ubuntu 22.04 LTS which was working stable until yesterdays kernel upgrade.
