Title:
  CONFIG_SENSORS_ADM1021 missing from 22.04. on

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
It seems that the adm1021 driver module was dropped from the kernel
config (CONFIG_SENSORS_ADM1021=m) starting from Ubuntu 22.04.

There are several Siemens devices that use this chip for temperature
monitoring, and many of these devices rely on Debian. An absence of
the driver is an issue for us that has to be fixed downstream at the
  moment.

Is it possible to re-add the config switch?

Was the omission of the ADM1021 driver part of a regular cleanup
process, or is there some technical reasons behind this decision?
