This bug is awaiting verification that the linux-starfive/6.2.0-1002.2
kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and
update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the
tag 'verification-needed-lunar' to 'verification-done-lunar'. If the
problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-lunar' to
'verification-failed-lunar'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how
to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!

Title:
Excessive size of kernel modules on RISC-V - modules unstripped

Status in linux-riscv package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
The size of kernel modules on RISC-V indicates that there is a build
  problem:

  kernel/drivers/ata/sata_mv.ko
  amd64: 81713 bytes
  arm64: 85505 bytes
  riscv64: 601417 bytes

objdump -h shows that there is no section beyond 0xc6fc in the riscv64 file.
The size of the sections matches what we see on the other architectures.
