i am also seeing soft lockups related to snd_hda-core - also on a HP 15s-fq4xxx. My trace is different but it would seem too much of a coincidence for the issues not to related.
This has been a day 0 problem for me. Changing kernels does not seem to help. I have found that it occurs every time after a restart.
