Thanks for the bug report. When the second monitor is plugged in, please run:
sudo apt install drm-info drm_info > drminfo.txt grep . /sys/class/drm/*/status > connections.txt journalctl -b0 > journal.txt and attach the resulting text file here. Please also clarify if you are using a native USB-C monitor or a DisplayLink adapter. ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => linux-hwe-5.19 (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: linux-hwe-5.19 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Tags added: multimonitor -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-hwe-5.19 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2027779 Title: Second screen over usb-c stopped working after update Status in linux-hwe-5.19 package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Hello, I recently got an update on my system which wrecked havoc on my display drivers. I cannot use a second monitor now any more through usb-c. When I plug in the screen nothing happens. I have verified whether there is any hardware failure (screen, cable, usb-c converter, usb-c ports on the laptop) and they all seem to be fine. I suspect it's this update which caused it: Start-Date: 2023-07-12 06:21:02 Commandline: /usr/bin/unattended-upgrade Upgrade: ghostscript-x:amd64 (9.55.0~dfsg1-0ubuntu5.2, 9.55.0~dfsg1-0ubuntu5.3), libgs9-common:amd64 (9.55.0~dfsg1-0ubuntu5.2, 9.55.0~dfsg1-0ubuntu5.3), ghostscript:amd64 (9.55.0~dfsg1-0ubuntu5.2, 9.55.0~dfsg1-0ubuntu5.3), libgs9:amd64 (9.55.0~dfsg1-0ubuntu5.2, 9.55.0~dfsg1-0ubuntu5.3) End-Date: 2023-07-12 06:21:02 Start-Date: 2023-07-12 06:21:04 Commandline: /usr/bin/unattended-upgrade Upgrade: libllvm15:amd64 (1:15.0.7-0ubuntu0.22.04.1, 1:15.0.7-0ubuntu0.22.04.2) End-Date: 2023-07-12 06:21:04 Could you please have a look and let me know if there is any workaround.
