Will do. Interestingly, XSP 13 comes with the disk controller set to RAID mode (I understand this is not RAID as such, but some performance feature). I tried switching it back to AHCI mode, set Ubuntu to PowerSaver mode, and closed the lid. Overnight, the power did not drain.
For objectivity, I will put the bios and power settings back to where they were and log dmesg as you suggest. Maybe it is helpful to repeat the the experiment with AHCI mode the following night. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2023446 Title: Excessive Power drain in sleep mode on XPS 9315 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I have a new Dell XPS 9315, with Ubuntu 22.04 installed (from vanilla image, downloaded from the Ubuntu site).
