-- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2015994 Title: 23.04 installer display broken with fbdev on ppc64el Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hi, latest cloud image ( Daily Build [20230405] : https://cloud-images.ubuntu.com/lunar/current/lunar-server-cloudimg-ppc64el.img ) , especially kernel 6.2.0-19-generic used, has the same issue as the one I encountered on Debian : https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1033058 . qemu vga output with fbdev gets stuck at kernel boot time while serial console looks ok till login prompt . I guess it's going to propagate to http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu- server/daily-live/current/lunar-live-server-ppc64el.iso soon. I open this bug to monitor the upstream fix Cyril Brulebois proposed and hopefully get it into Ubuntu asap.
