It keeps lagging even when I press Ctrl+Alt+Fn and enter terminal mode. However, mouse and keyboard input still works as normal. The problem first appeared after I resolved a package dependency issue on Feb 17 (but I cannot remember what package was causing the dependency issue) and then rebooted the system. But the problem disappears if I choose to boot from recovery mode (this is how I gathered information for my device).
