Initially came across this bug by copying a directory with this name using nautilus, but also reproduced the problem with cp -r, mkdir and touch. Various parts of the name worked fine: "Сергей Васильевич Рахманинов" seems fine as a filename, as is "Piano Concertos Nos. 2 & 4 (Concertgebouw Orchestra feat. piano: Vladimir Ashkenazy, conductor: Bernard Haitink)". A much longer directory name also worked fine. So I'm stumped as to what the problem is. The filesystem was created with the command: mkudffs -b 512 --media-type=hd --utf8 /dev/sdc and otherwise seems to work fine.
