Public bug reported: Output of lsb_release: No LSB modules are available. Description: Ubuntu Lunar Lobster (development branch) Release: 23.04
Output of apt-cache policy: nvidia-driver-525: Installed: 525.85.05-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 525.85.05-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 525.85.05-0ubuntu1 500 500 http://is.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu lunar/restricted amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Hardware: Razer Blade Stealth 13 with an i7-1165G7 and GTX 1650 Ti. Description: I just upgraded to Lunar Lobster. Out of the box, the proprietary nvidia driver wasn't loaded, so I purged nvidia-driver-525, performed an autoremove and then reinstalled nvidia-driver-525. The installation seemed successful as apt said a module was built for the new kernel 6.2, and the initramfs was updated without issue. I have verified that I am running kernel 6.2.0-18-generic. And yet, only the intel graphics driver is available and nvidia-settings says that the nvidia driver is not loaded. Performing modprobe nvidia only yields "ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia': Key was rejected by service." Performing nvidia-modprobe yields nothing. Performing prime-select nvidia also doesn't fix anything. ** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers-525 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-525 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2014983 Title: nvidia 525 won't load on lunar lobster default kernel Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-525 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Output of lsb_release: No LSB modules are available.
