Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS doesn't wake up/hang after suspend

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Whenever the laptop suspends (by closing lid or just automatic suspend
after certain amount of time} i cannot wake it up.

The lights of capslock / numlock indicate laptop is on but the laptop does
not respond to keystrokes and power button clicks.
As a result, I always have to hold the power button to shut it down and then
power it up again.
