Notebook doesn't turn off when shutdown in lucid lynx

Bug description:
I have installed lucid lynx with all the updates in my notebook HP
DV9285, and when i click on shutdown or write in console "halt" then
notebook starts shuting down, turns off the screen but doesnt power
off. I have this problem since the ubuntu 10.04 alpha. In ubuntu 9.10
it worked well.
i don't know how to discover what is happening when i shutdown
computer...
