Public bug reported:

System information: Ubuntu 22.10 x86_64
Kernel: 5.19.0-29-generic
Hardware: Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7620
CPU: Intel i7-12700H
GPU: Intel Alder Lake-P
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile / Max-Q

Issues:

wayland

- Display's native resolution of 3072x1920 (16:10) is unusable. The bottom of
the screen creates artifacts every time I move my mouse there. Visually look
like horizontal black lines and I am unable to use the bottom portion of the
screen.
- Using the system, some times the whole screen becomes frozen with graphical
artifacts. it then resets, and apparently resumes to normal.

Current workaround for both issues is to lower the resolution. Tested
working ok with 2560x1600 (16:10) and 1920x122 (16:10)

Xorg

- If i turn off my internal display, the whole UI freezes. I need to drop to
tty to reboot. Then after reboot, only internal display is working, and if I
try to enable external display, I get an error reporting there might be an
hardware problem. Tested with external display with multiple HDMI cables
through a dell thunderbolt dock, and directly connected to laptop.
- If i turn off my internal display and only use external display connected to
HDMI, Gnome shell on secondary display connected via HDMI becomes very slow and
laggy. I have a hard time reproducing this as the secondary display usually
becomes unusable.

Temporary workaround:
Reverting to nvidia-graphics-drivers-515 solves all my issues. None of the
issues reported above can be reproduced on 515.
