Public bug reported:
SRU Justification Impact: The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream by originating either directly from a mainline/stable Linux tree or a minimally backported form of that patch. The following upstream stable patches should be included in the Ubuntu kernel: v6.0.14 upstream stable release from git://git.kernel.org/ Linux 6.0.14 net: fec: properly guard irq coalesce setup ASoC: ops: Correct bounds check for second channel on SX controls nvme-pci: clear the prp2 field when not used perf: Fix perf_pending_task() UaF ASoC: cs42l51: Correct PGA Volume minimum value net: fec: don't reset irq coalesce settings to defaults on "ip link up" can: mcba_usb: Fix termination command argument can: sja1000: fix size of OCR_MODE_MASK define pinctrl: meditatek: Startup with the IRQs disabled libbpf: Use page size as max_entries when probing ring buffer map ASoC: ops: Check bounds for second channel in snd_soc_put_volsw_sx() ASoC: fsl_micfil: explicitly clear CHnF flags ASoC: fsl_micfil: explicitly clear software reset bit rtc: cmos: fix build on non-ACPI platforms libbpf: Fix uninitialized warning in btf_dump_dump_type_data x86/vdso: Conditionally export __vdso_sgx_enter_enclave() rtc: cmos: Fix wake alarm breakage rtc: cmos: Fix event handler registration ordering issue ** Affects: linux-oem-6.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Affects: linux-oem-6.0 (Ubuntu Jammy) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: kernel-stable-tracking-bug ** Changed in: linux-oem-6.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Tags added: kernel-stable-tracking-bug ** Also affects: linux-oem-6.0 (Ubuntu Jammy) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-oem-6.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2002673 Title: Jammy update: v6.0.14 upstream stable release Status in linux-oem-6.0 package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in linux-oem-6.0 source package in Jammy: New Bug description: SRU Justification Impact: The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream by originating either directly from a mainline/stable Linux tree or a minimally backported form of that patch.
