Title:
At certain boots, no mouse pointer will be present

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
This happens on Ubuntu 13.10 Desktop 64-bit for both my desktop and
  notebook.

At 10% of the time when I boot my system, there will be no mouse
pointer visible. It is still there, I can move it around and click on
things, but I do not see it.

I can only reboot to bring it back. This happens about 10% of the
times when I boot. I do not use third party repositories or software.
