Public bug reported: The size of kernel modules on RISC-V indicates that there is a build problem:
kernel/drivers/ata/sata_mv.ko amd64: 81713 bytes arm64: 85505 bytes riscv64: 601417 bytes objdump -h shows that there is no section beyond 0xc6fc in the riscv64 file. The size of the sections matches what we see on the other architectures. ** Affects: linux-riscv (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: riscv64 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-riscv in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1964335 Title: Excessive size of kernel modules on RISC-V Status in linux-riscv package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The size of kernel modules on RISC-V indicates that there is a build problem: kernel/drivers/ata/sata_mv.ko amd64: 81713 bytes arm64: 85505 bytes riscv64: 601417 bytes objdump -h shows that there is no section beyond 0xc6fc in the riscv64 file.
