Hello Tim,
thanks for the report, these are actually failing with something like:
    Downloading the image index
    ERROR: Invalid signature for /tmp/tmp.u1JHG6CYmL/index.asc

And the api_test.py is failing with this issue as well.

I will modify the bug title / description for this.

** Summary changed:

- ubuntu_lxc: Fails multiple tests
+ ubuntu_lxc: api_test.py / lxc-test-apparmor-mount / lxc-test-autostart /
lxc-test-no-new-privs / lxc-test-unpriv failing with "ERROR: Invalid signature"

** Tags added: 5.11 aws focal sru-20210927 ubuntu-lxc

Bug description:
  linux-aws-5.11 5.11.0-1020.21~20.04.2

  ubuntu_lxc test fails on 4 instances; a1.medium, c6g.8xlarge,
  i3en.24xlarge, t2.small

  All failures are identical:

  CmdError: Command </tmp/lxc-pkg-ubuntu/src/tests/lxc-test-apparmor-mount>
failed, rc=1, Command returned non-zero exit status
  CmdError: Command </tmp/lxc-pkg-ubuntu/src/tests/lxc-test-autostart> failed,
rc=1, Command returned non-zero exit status
  CmdError: Command </tmp/lxc-pkg-ubuntu/src/tests/lxc-test-no-new-privs>
failed, rc=1, Command returned non-zero exit status
  CmdError: Command </tmp/lxc-pkg-ubuntu/src/tests/lxc-test-unpriv> failed,
rc=2, Command returned non-zero exit status

I do not see the same failures when run manually.
