Yes, the previous version of the Virtualbox Guest Additions was 6.1.22 and I did not have issues with that install. I actually did attempt to reinstall Virtualbox Guest Additions 6.1.26 and it succeeded.
Not sure where the issue was exactly, but it seems to be OK now.
