Under Ubuntu 19.04 with the 5.0 kernel I don't have this problem, under Archlinux with the old kernels (4.19LTS, 5.0, 5.1) I didn't have this problem either. But since 5.2 whether it is under Ubuntu or Archlinux, I have noticed this problem which is difficult to describe, it is a kind of band that appears at the top of the screen with a different size (sometimes very wide). The problem occurs randomly, sometimes it can go 30 minutes without seeing it appear and sometimes it can appear full of times for a few minutes. The problem is not specific to Ubuntu but to the kernel since 5.2 and following. Under the 19.10 of Ubuntu in development with the 5.3 kernel, the problem is still present.
