Thanks for the bug report. Your kernel log appears to be flooded with
errors about PCI device 8086:2f03 which is the "PCI Express Root Port
1". That doesn't really tell us what the problem is, except that it's
either a hardware or kernel problem. I'm guessing it might be related to
the nouveau kernel driver.

Please reboot into the grub menu (tap Esc before Ubuntu starts), and try
booting an older kernel if you have one. If you don't have one then
please try some older and newer kernels like:

https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.4.103/

https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.11.4/

Title:
  Xorg freeze when using nouveau

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I had been using the recommended nvidia driver (nvidia-driver-460). I
recently changed to xserver-xorg-video-nouveau for the following
  reasons:

  1) The resolution configuration was not saved. It is, every power off
and power on the resolution restarted to low resolution.

  2) The syslog file in /var/log/ constantly was filled with logs (may
be with a rate of 1 GB per hour), then, I was enforced to install
busybox-syslogd to stop the logging and continue with activities.

  3) When using xserver-xorg-video-nouveau, in contrast with nvidia-
driver-460, i didn't had to reset the resolution configuration, which
was great, but now the screen is constantly freezing and i had to use
alt+SysRq+REISUB two times in a day
