I believe the 2.5gb ethernet is actually only in newer kernels normally but Ubuntu backport it. It was working fine, then I received a kernel upgrade 5.4.0-53 and the ethernet dissapeared. If I use grub to boot into the old kernel 5.4.0-52 the ethernet is there still so it appears to be the newer kernel.
