This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed- focal' to 'verification-done-focal'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-focal' to 'verification-failed-focal'.
If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. So there is one more patch for focal than for oem-5.6. [Impact] We have a couple of LENOVO machines which has amd renoir audio on them, our kernel doesn't have the driver for it yet. [Fix] amd just upstreamed the driver, it is for kernel-5.8, we backport them to ubunt kernel. [Test Case] boot the kernel with those patches, we could see a sound card named "acp" and the dmic on it could record sound via arecord. [Regression Risk] Low, just adding a new driver, no change to existing drivers.
