Title: [Dell Latitude 3330] fwts high failure: \_SB_.PCI0:_OSC invalid UUID Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Bug description: CID: 201302-12844 Dell Latitude 3330 There is a HIGH Kernel message in FWTS report. FAILED [HIGH] KlogOscInvalidUuid: Test 1, HIGH Kernel message: [ 0.189087] \_SB_.PCI0:_OSC invalid UUID Message repeated 1 times. ADVICE: The _OSC method indicates it has been passed an invalid UUID, see section 6.2.10 _OSC (Operating System Capabilities) of the ACPI specification for more details. Note that it has been observed on some systems that this error is returned because the _OSC has evaluated incorrectly and it returns with an incorrect error setting the OSC invalid UUID error bit. According to alexhung, it might affect the PCI-E hotplug capability. But I think there is no hotplugable PCI-E device on this system (e.g. ExpressCard) Distro Release: 12.04.3 Kernel version: 3.8.0-29-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1219669/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
