Created new PPA for working backports: https://launchpad.net/~vicamo/+archive/ubuntu/ppa-1878147.20200518081444.7664 Verified on unstable/oem-5.6/focal/oem-osp1-bionic for 200 runs for each. Note in the end I can no longer reproduce [Case 1] from comment #9, and since it's confirmed that the third patch is critical to this issue for some reason, the final patch sets to be backported will include all three of them with additional patches to address conflicts.
