Public bug reported: For quite a while the Ubuntu kernel now ships the Ashmem and Binder drivers as part of linux-modules-extra-*. They were available on previous linux-aws kernels but seem to have dropped with the 5.3.0 based edge kernel.
See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1849493 for a similar bug report I filed in the past for the GCP kernels. Can we get both ashmem and binder enabled and added to linux-aws-edge as they are used for Anbox Cloud? ** Affects: linux-aws (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-aws in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1876165 Title: Binder and ashmem drivers are missing from aws-edge kernel Status in linux-aws package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: For quite a while the Ubuntu kernel now ships the Ashmem and Binder drivers as part of linux-modules-extra-*.
