Please start by running 'top' to see if any processes are using high
CPU. Please let us know what you find.

Also, your kernel seems to be crashing a lot in the nouveau driver so it
might be a good idea to try the proprietary Nvidia driver instead. Look
in 'Additional Drivers' which you might find in the main app list, or
under 'Software & Updates'.
