No, it's not that Visual Alerts Feature. I tested out that flash feature, and it looks nothing like the error I was encountering.
I also noticed a new thing. After I last messaged you, I put my laptop into sleep mode. Now when I opened the computer, I find that I can't reproduce the error. This is good, but I'm unable to figure out what is going on. So, effectively, a "Workaround" is found... I'll send you a video of the error taken from my phone camera soon, and I will also send you a screen recording of when I reproduce the error and also show you what happens when I use the visual alert feature (to convince you that it is different). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-435 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1869549 Title: [nvidia] Whenever a sound needs to be played the screen blanks out Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-435 package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Whenever a sound needs to be played the screen blanks out for a second, then the screen comes back on, and the sound plays. Examples of sounds are when I press Tab on the terminal, and there are no possible completions, or when I press the down button on the terminal, and there are no further lines below, then it blanks out, comes back, and then plays the "ding" tone telling me there are no further completions or lines. However, after one blank-out, if I keep pressing the down button, the sounds play normally without blanking out for a short time. After that period, it repeats again on doing something that would cause the sound to be played again.
