For me it depends on the fact that you have introduced the md5sum verification 
at startup which makes Ubuntu's actual startup very slow. Which I also found in 
a previous release of the beta version of focal. In the previous case studies 
the control was now displayed instead there is the start screen that masks this 
tedious control. 
What is the purpose of an MD5sum check at every boot?

Title:
  Extreme slow Ubuntu startup

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  With the latest live release, starting takes around 4:30 to get to the
  jingle and around 5:40 to get Ubuntu up and running. With the version
  of 24-01-2020 instead 0:47 and 1:08 respectively. The boot time with
  the latest releases is exaggerated. Please check and correct the
  problem. Thank you.
