Public bug reported:

I bought a Lenovo Thinkbook (Intel i5 10th generation) Model- 20RV00BNIH just
last week. I bought a DOS machine and put ubuntu 18.04 on it, the touchpad
hasnt been working ever since.
I checked with Win 10, and the touchpad works, so it is not a hardware issue.
Then I upgraded to ubuntu 19.10.
Kernel is 5.3.0-26-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP

Lots of posts on ubuntuforums indicate that 18.10 onwards should fix
this issue. They also claim that Kernel 4.18 onwards should fix this
issue, but looks like they dont, at least for me.

I tried the following. Did not help.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1825996
edit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
add "blacklist i2c_i801" in the blacklist.conf
sudo update-initramfs -u
reboot

When I do a sudo acpidump | grep -C3 ELAN, I get the following

33230: 0F 00 03 04 49 4E 54 31 70 0A 20 49 44 41 44 A4 ....INT1p. IDAD.
