The _PCL error in \_SB_.PCI0.SBRG.ADP1._PCL is because _PCL below returns _SB which is not a package:
Device (ADP1) { Name (_HID, "ACPI0003") // _HID: Hardware ID Method (_PSR, 0, NotSerialized) // _PSR: Power Source { Return (PWRS) } Method (_PCL, 0, NotSerialized) // _PCL: Power Consumer List { Return (_SB) } } The upshot of this is that the ACPI AC power adaptor interface won't work, which isn't critical, but just annoying. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1190961 Title: [Dell Inspiron N5425] HIGH failure on FWTS reports / suspend logs Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: CID: 2101206-11418 Dell Inspiron N5425 There are some high failures on the FWTS report: High failures: 4 dmi_decode: Out of range value 0x00 (range allowed 0x01..0x0b) while accessing entry 'Voltage Probe (Type 26)' @ 0x000ea116, field 'Location (bits 0..4)', offset 0x05 dmi_decode: Out of range value 0x00 (range allowed 0x01..0x06) while accessing entry 'Voltage Probe (Type 26)' @ 0x000ea116, field 'Status (bits 5..7)', offset 0x05 dmi_decode: Out of range value 0x00 (range allowed 0x01..0x0b) while accessing entry 'Electrical Current Probe (Type 29)' @ 0x000ea133, field 'Location (bits 0..4)', offset 0x05 dmi_decode: Out of range value 0x00 (range allowed 0x01..0x06) while accessing entry 'Electrical Current Probe (Type 29)' @ 0x000ea133, field 'Status (bits 5..7)', offset 0x05 And in the suspend_single.log: High failures: 3 s3: HIGH Kernel message: [ 512.841011] [Firmware Bug]: cpu 1, try to use APIC500 (LVT offset 0) for vector 0x400, but the register is already in use for vector 0xf9 on another cpu s3: HIGH Kernel message: [ 512.854477] [Firmware Bug]: cpu 2, try to use APIC500 (LVT offset 0) for vector 0x400, but the register is already in use for vector 0xf9 on another cpu s3: HIGH Kernel message: [ 512.867968] [Firmware Bug]: cpu 3, try to use APIC500 (LVT offset 0) for vector 0x400, but the register is already in use for vector 0xf9 on another cpu ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: linux-image-3.5.0-34-generic 3.5.0-34.55~precise1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.5.0-34.55~precise1-generic 3.5.7.13 Uname: Linux 3.5.0-34-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.25.
