This problem was first noticed in -19 kernel revision. In -19 kernel this
laptop failed to boot on approx. 1 out of 20 boots. After updating to the -20
kernel today this laptop fails to boot in approx. 9 out of 10 attempts.
The laptop hangs at "new USB bus registered, assigned new bus number r3".
I noticed that there are multiple bug reports for this issue (e.g. bug
#528688). I have filed this separate bug as my laptop hardware appears
to be different.
