Title: Vivid update to v3.19.8-ckt15 stable release Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in linux source package in Vivid: Fix Released Bug description: SRU Justification Impact: The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream by originating either directly from a mainline/stable Linux tree or a minimally backported form of that patch. The v3.19.8-ckt15 upstream stable patch set is now available. It should be included in the Ubuntu kernel as well. git://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/linux.git TEST CASE: TBD The following patches from the v3.19.8-ckt15 stable release shall be applied: Linux 3.19.8-ckt15 ASN.1: Fix non-match detection failure on data overrun [media] usbvision: fix crash on detecting device with invalid configuration [media] usbvision: fix leak of usb_dev on failure paths in usbvision_probe() [media] usbvision fix overflow of interfaces array powerpc/perf: Remove PPMU_HAS_SSLOT flag for Power8 perf hists: Fix HISTC_MEM_DCACHELINE width setting perf annotate browser: Fix behaviour of Shift-Tab with nothing focussed serial: 8250_pci: Add Intel Broadwell ports x86/mm/pat: Avoid truncation when converting cpa->numpages to address Staging: speakup: Fix getting port information drm/vmwgfx: respect 'nomodeset' ALSA: dummy: Disable switching timer backend via sysfs seccomp: always propagate NO_NEW_PRIVS on tsync irqchip/atmel-aic: Fix wrong bit operation for IRQ priority staging/speakup: Use tty_ldisc_ref() for paste kworker n_tty: Fix unsafe reference to "other" ldisc tty: Fix unsafe ldisc reference via ioctl(TIOCGETD) SCSI: fix crashes in sd and sr runtime PM powerpc/eeh: Fix PE location code x86/mm: Fix types used in pgprot cacheability flags translations arm64: mm: avoid calling apply_to_page_range on empty range arm64: errata: Add -mpc-relative-literal-loads to build flags ALSA: bebob: Use a signed return type for get_formation_index ALSA: usb-audio: Fix TEAC UD-501/UD-503/NT-503 usb delay ALSA: compress: Disable GET_CODEC_CAPS ioctl for some architectures USB: option: fix Cinterion AHxx enumeration arm64: kernel: fix architected PMU registers unconditional access USB: serial: ftdi_sio: add support for Yaesu SCU-18 cable ALSA: seq: Degrade the error message for too many opens ALSA: seq: Fix incorrect sanity check at snd_seq_oss_synth_cleanup() USB: serial: option: Adding support for Telit LE922 USB: serial: visor: fix crash on detecting device without write_urbs USB: visor: fix null-deref at probe USB: cp210x: add ID for IAI USB to RS485 adaptor usb: hub: do not clear BOS field during reset device cdc-acm:exclude Samsung phone 04e8:685d usb: cdc-acm: send zero packet for intel 7260 modem usb: cdc-acm: handle unlinked urb in acm read callback ACPI / PCI / hotplug: unlock in error path in acpiphp_enable_slot() ACPI: Revert "ACPI / video: Add Dell Inspiron 5737 to the blacklist" x86/irq: Call chip->irq_set_affinity in proper context KVM: PPC: Fix ONE_REG AltiVec support KVM: PPC: Fix emulation of H_SET_DABR/X on POWER8 iio: adis_buffer: Fix out-of-bounds memory access To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1546183/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
