I know it's been some time since this bug has been active, but I'm a bit
concerned about your comment #42. It sounds like the fix that was made
to allow you to adjust the volume away from 100% did not end up working,
in fact, it sounds like it disabled the sound altogether (at least on
the 4.4 kernels).

Do you remember if that was the case? If so, I think that would suggest
this fix failed verification.

  Pressing vol up/vol down show OSD change up/down but volume all time
