That would be equally unhelpful. What would be helpful would be to add the kernel module back to the kernel packages. Leann should not have removed it. This is not a bug in any code. This bug is in Ubuntu packaging. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119921 Title: Hardware sensors not working on Toshiba Satellite M40x (need omnibook module) Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hardware sensors (tempurature) is not working for my Toshiba Satellite M40x laptop with my fresh Ubuntu Feisty install. I got it working with Gentoo using the omnibook kernel module found at: http://omnibook.sourceforge.net/doku.php It works with Toshiba laptops with the pheonix bios. I followed the instruction in the forum to get it to work for my laptop with feisty here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=316358&highlight=omnibook So aside from hopefully getting this software added to the Ubuntu repository, what information about my laptop do you need so that it also gets autoloaded?
