Public bug reported: Problem: Computer is off. I start it. Boot gets stuck. Reboot is needed (some either manually or reboots itself). Reboot with the same kernel works and no further problem.
Kernel: Problem started with 4.15.0-48, all versions since that. Never happend before that version. During first boot computer just stops booting (sound: hard disk goes off or smth): -Sometimes boot screen shows graphical error over boot messages -or boot messages stop early -or spades mixed with normal output and an error (see A) - " Fixing recursive fault but reboot is needed!" is last line on the screen. Logs from 'journalctl' command. Not every first boot gives a BUG/Oops in the log. ----- current system Linux blumentopf 4.15.0-50-generic #54-Ubuntu SMP Mon May 6 18:45:45 UTC 2019 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux Ubuntu 4.15.0-50.54-generic 4.15.18 Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS Release: 18.04 Codename: bionic ----- repeated: EIP: 0xb7f0fd09 EIP: 0xf6607eb8 EIP: __mutex_unlock_slowpath.isra.11+0x66/0x110 SS:ESP: 0068:f6607ddc EIP: native_queued_spin_lock_slowpath+0x1d7/0x220 SS:ESP: 0068:f6607db8 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: linux-image-4.15.0-50-generic 4.15.0-50.54 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-50.54-generic 4.15.18 Uname: Linux 4.15.0-50-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.6 Architecture: i386 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/pcmC0D0c: nuser 3208 F...m pulseaudio /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p: nuser 3208 F...m pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC0: nuser 3208 F.... pulseaudio Date: Mon Jun 3 09:37:11 2019 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=a5308b72-8378-433c-b57f-ecc62c58387f InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-02-02 (2311 days ago) InstallationMedia: Lubuntu 12.04 "Precise Pangolin" - Release i386 (20120423.1) IwConfig: lo no wireless extensions. eth0 no wireless extensions.
