I can see a few audio-related error messages in your kernel log. But even if that wasn't true then I would still suggest this is most likely a kernel bug.
In case the problem happens to be pulseaudio crashing, please follow these instructions first: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Responses#Missing_a_crash_report_or_having_a_.crash_attachment If you couldn't find any evidence of 'pulseaudio' crashing in the past then please try some slightly older (or newer) kernels and tell us if you find some that don't have the bug: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Also affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Summary changed: - [HDA-Intel - HDA Intel PCH, playback] No sound at all + [Lenovo IdeaPad 330] No sound at all ** Summary changed: - [Lenovo IdeaPad 330] No sound at all + [Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15IGM] No sound at all ** Summary changed: - [Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15IGM] No sound at all + [Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15IGM] No sound at all after resuming from sleep ** Tags added: resume suspend-resume -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1827460 Title: [Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15IGM] No sound at all after resuming from sleep Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: My Lenovo ideapad 330 laptop with Ubuntu 18.04 sounds works fine initially.
