Title: Sound issue, or rather, lack of sound Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Linux Mint 18.3 update Kernel 4.4.0-143-generic up-heaved my Alsa mixer/pulse-audio or something to disable sound, made the mixer and configurations useless and grayed out/inoperable. I have gone through this some time ago and forgotten how to remedy but the next thing, besides what I have tried futilely, will be to rollback the new kernel to its predecessor.
