The first step to that are the copying and mangling of files from the master tree. [Regression potential] These changes are specific to the process of updating the git tree when preparing new kernels. They should not break the kernel, but might break the process itself. [Test cases] The changed scripts have been run and results have been compared with running the original update-from-*master script.
