Public bug reported:

Only get a Blank screen when trying to run program tvtime. Boot does create in
the /dev the video1
but wont display the card when running tvtime program
to see the card in linux 4.15.0.33 I have had to include a conf file
in the /etc/modprobe.d directory using options cx23885 card=20
options CORE_cx23885[0]_dvb adapter_nr=0 this does create the /dev/video1 but
the card
isnt working with the new kernals?????
 trying to run the following I get an error under 4-15-45
$ sudo lspci -vnvn > lspci-vnvn.log
pcilib: sysfs_read_vpd: read failed: Input/output error
 tried above 4 times same error
think that would be the problem?????
How to correct it???
