With my headphones jacked in, the line out and headphones output options keep switching automatically, resulting in crackling (and broken audio). I have tried many solutions I found online but none of the suggested fixes work. I am attaching a video of what I see (note that this happens automatically, I don't click anywhere) This is not a hardware issue (the headphones work fine on another machine running Ubuntu 16.04, and as far as I'm aware this problem only appeared after I upgraded from 16.04 to 18.04). $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Release: 18.04 I have uploaded two different videos showing what I see here: https://youtu.be/S49cEC5DRsk https://youtu.be/zSfi5ko5nBY To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1813604/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
