David Balažic, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number> ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium => Low ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1212480 Title: live: press enter message not visible Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Burned http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/saucy- desktop-i386.iso (downloaded an hour or two ago) to a DVD, then booted it. I selected "Try Ubuntu". After a while I entered "sudo reboot" in an xterm. The system went down, ejected the DVD and then hung there. There were two lines of text on the screen, some part of the shutdown script. It did not say "press return to continue" as it used in older versions. I pressed the return key and it did continue and rebooted at the end. For apport details see bug 658042, I just run apport-collect there, before the reboot.
