Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-390 package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
UPDATE Trying to install Mate 18.04 Beta 2 on ASUS FX530 notebook. Am
using LiveCD USB drive (SanDisk). Have tried both install option and
try without install option and both go to a screen that is so dim, you
cannot see anything well enough to use the system.
Contrast/Brightness do nothing. Currently running ver 17.10 with no
issues.
