Title:
  4.13 --> 4.15 ksmd usage increases substantially

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Not too long ago the provided kernel for Xenial was updated from 4.13
  to 4.15. I use KSM a fair bit and it has worked nicely. ksmd would
  peak at around 1% CPU, which is fine. However, now that I have moved
  up to 4.15 ksmd averages 15% CPU, which is not fine.

  There are a lot of commits between these two versions.

  Will do the usual testing and update asap.
