Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?

After updates on 23.07.2018, u. a. also on the kernel v4.15.9 I realized that as soon as the notebook goes into standby mode, then no LAN connection is possible anymore.
