Public bug reported: Currently the azure kernel does not install the extra modules package by default and there's no easy way to install it other than installing the specific version package for each kernel version (ie: linux-modules- extra-${kernel-abi-version}-azure).
It's necessary to include a meta pointing to the current binary extra modules packages. ** Affects: linux-azure (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: linux-azure-edge (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: linux-azure (Ubuntu Xenial) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) Status: In Progress ** Affects: linux-azure-edge (Ubuntu Xenial) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) Status: In Progress ** Affects: linux-azure (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) Status: In Progress ** Affects: linux-azure-edge (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) Status: Invalid ** Also affects: linux-azure-edge (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux-azure (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux-azure-edge (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux-azure (Ubuntu Xenial) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux-azure-edge (Ubuntu Xenial) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux-azure-edge (Ubuntu Bionic) Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: linux-azure-edge (Ubuntu Xenial) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: linux-azure (Ubuntu Bionic) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: linux-azure (Ubuntu Xenial) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: linux-azure (Ubuntu Xenial) Assignee: (unassigned) => Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) ** Changed in: linux-azure (Ubuntu Bionic) Assignee: (unassigned) => Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) ** Changed in: linux-azure-edge (Ubuntu Xenial) Assignee: (unassigned) => Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) ** Changed in: linux-azure-edge (Ubuntu Bionic) Assignee: (unassigned) => Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-azure in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1779908 Title: linux-azure: add a meta package for the extra modules Status in linux-azure package in Ubuntu: New Status in linux-azure-edge package in Ubuntu: New Status in linux-azure source package in Xenial: In Progress Status in linux-azure-edge source package in Xenial: In Progress Status in linux-azure source package in Bionic: In Progress Status in linux-azure-edge source package in Bionic: Invalid Bug description: Currently the azure kernel does not install the extra modules package by default and there's no easy way to install it other than installing the specific version package for each kernel version (ie: linux- modules-extra-${kernel-abi-version}-azure).
