The zfs kernel module and user space tools have had a compatibility shim added in the userspace ioctl interface to the kernel to ensure interoperability with the older userspace tools and the kernel driver. We have extensively tested the userspace side to confirm that this works, however, if you do find interoperability issues please file a separate bug for any issues you find.
